Our foundation

Based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, GIITD Architects, was founded in 2008. We’re Driven by a longing to present an end product which is something beyond the clients’ expectations.  We believe in simplicity, and understand that often that is only achieved through detailed solutions. Our favourite style: Contextually Relevant.

“Simple lines are happy lines” – Jannie Muller

GIITD strives towards contextually relevant architecture through:

Creation of humane, uplifting spaces.

Respect for the context, environment.

Elevating the clients’ experience towards self actualisation.

“We borrow from nature the space upon which we build.” – Tadao Ando

Finishing Touches

We aim to create a canvass which will not only function as backdrop for the memories made in a home, but also to lift the spirit of the inhabitants towards a more fulfilled experience. Happy house, Happy home.

And when the home maker turns the house into a home, with flowers, portraits and seemingly old sentimental inconsequentialities, we receive our prize and we breath a sigh of complete fulfilment.

If I can create some space that people haven’t experienced before and if it stays with them or gives them a dream for the future, that’s the kind of structure I seek to create”. – Tadao Ando

“None of us is as smart as all of us.” – Ken Blanchard
